Over 200 Fordham University student-athletes were honored for compiling a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher at the Fifth Annual Breakfast for Champions held on January 27th in the McGinley Center Ballroom. The event was sponsored by the Fordham Athletic Department with assistance from the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and the Office of Academic Advising. [Full Story]

The Fordham volleyball team makes their second consecutive appearance at the Atlantic 10 Championship tonight, as they open with fourth seeded Temple at Halton Arena in Charlotte, N.C. The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the 2007 Volleyball All-Conference teams and award winners this afternoon, with the Rams being well represented among the Atlantic 10's best. The Rams had two players receive awards, as freshman Christi Griffiths (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) was named Second Team All-Atlantic 10, while both Griffiths and fellow freshman Kailee May (Damascus, Md./Damascus) earned All-Rookie team honors.[Full Story]

In their final match before the home crowd, Fordham's senior class of Stephanie Frost, Lauren Fitzsimon, Bailey McKay, and Kate Nelson, gave the Fordham faithful one more outstanding performance, as Fordham swept Rutgers in three games at the Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday night. Having dropped three of their last four Atlantic 10 matches, the Fordham Univeristy volleyball Rams knew they had to get back on track in order to have a chance to qualify for their second straight Atlantic 10 Championship.
