Four Fordham Water Polo Players Named to 2007 CWPA Men's All-Academic Team

The Collegiate Water Polo Association has announced the selection of 101 student-athletes to the 2007 Men's All-Academic Varsity Team and four Fordham University water polo student-athletes have been named to the team. [Full Story]

Nine Fordham University Water Polo Student-Athletes Honored at Fifth Annual Breakfast for Champions

Over 200 Fordham University student-athletes were honored for compiling a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher at the Fifth Annual Breakfast for Champions held on January 27th in the McGinley Center Ballroom. The event was sponsored by the Fordham Athletic Department with assistance from the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and the Office of Academic Advising. [Full Story]

  • Water Polo Splits First Two Matches At Nothern Division Playoffs
  • The Fordham water polo team, seeded sixth as the Northern Division Playoffs this weekend, looked to raise some more eyebrows on Saturday. The Rams came up short in their first match against Harvard, falling 13-10, but came back in the nightcap to trounce Queens College, 12-2. The Rams will now play MIT in the fifth place game at 11:30 AM on Sunday.[Full Story]

  • Coming into tonight's regular season finale, not many would have given the young Fordham Rams a chance to hang around with an experienced 12th ranked St. Francis College team.   • Whenever a Bronx team makes their way to the Boston area, there always seems to be trouble. That statement stayed true this weekend, as the Fordham water polo team dropped three matches to Brown, MIT and Harvard.
