In his twenty-seventh season as assistant to Coach Dewey, Vince Forte has come to specialize in the middle distance events. Under Forte's instruction, the Fordham squad has consistently qualified for the IC4A and ECAC middle distance events. At the 1995-96 Block "F" Awards Dinner, Forte was honored with the Jack Coffey Award for his dedication and service to Fordham athletics. He was also inducted into the Fordham Hall of Fame in 1999. While an athlete at Fordham, he was the team captain and set the school record for the 500 meter and 600 yard runs. In the spring of 2002, Forte received the Hughes Award from Fordham University in recognition of his 20+ years of service to the university. |
